Top Gun insurance in fla.....OUCH!

I am upgrading my current boat situation and started shopping insurance..

I paid $1800 last yr. in Ga.(inland waters)

I got quotes for a newer GUN in Fl and I almost Sh#t a brick. I know Fl. is gonna be higher but;

$3800 a yr. from Alliance(not great)

$17,766 a yr. (THATS RIGHT $17,766) from progressive and only up to 500efi.

WTF???

I just wondered who you all used and who to talk to?

Thanks,Greg

Cash- that is basically their way of saying they don't insure those type of vessels! :D

i pay $3,200.00/yr for a 2000 Top Gun w/ 600HP (or so :D ).

contact Bob Lluellen @ Worldwide Marine Underwriters 1-800-339-1235. he's a class act.

im quickly reaching a point where its not worth it to me to pay these rediculous rates anymore.

That is INSANE....they will fight like hell not to cover chit if it happens too. When I see insurance rates like that it helps alleviate my urge for a cat QUICK
