Just find another dog. I see both ends of this and I know it can be emotional. When your pet dies, the easiest way to get over it is get another ASAP. That rat dog has the same yelp and bark as all others. I and the wife LOVE all animals as we never had kiddies. You guys throw your dinner scraps down the disposal or in the garbage, we feed them to our friends of nature in the woods every night. Poof, gone in hours. Sometimes you can hear them fighting over the stuff. Only items they don't devour are rotten onions and cabbage, lettuce etc. That stuff seems to decay slowly out there.

Cord,
No doubt Hugh did, I was just referring to his statement that I may have jumped the gun which I certainly feel I had not. All is well and I'm sure this all happened for good reasons and we'll still find another puppy.

i really did not mean it to sound mean
What I meant was it was NOT a done deal.
I said I would look into transportation issues.
Heck, I was even willing to drive half way to Chicago last weekend to deliver. I would not have had time to find other options.
i am truly sorry, for all parties involved including my own dog.
I aleinated him for several days to try and 'part' with him. Thought of alot of things over the last few weeks.
As for other lady at work, she first mentioned it a few weeks ago. Then the subject never came up again.
From her or me. Then she over heard me at lunch break and brought it up again. I had already had an appt with the vet for a health check set for Wed. i am glad i did not cancel do to her ten minute conversation that she would take him. i would have been left standing. Somewhat the way I left dave and his family standing.
Guess that is what i meant be 'jumping the gun'.
i never know something is 'forsure' unless I have at least more then one conversation about it.
once again, sorry for all. the power of the internet can be both good and bad ;(
SUBJECT CLOSED!
