What is it used for? Chronic pain or cancer pain? Basically one becomes tolerant to chronic opoid usage and will require increasing doses. Can take up to 6mg every 3 hours or more. Hope this helps.

Chronic pain, I ruptured a disc last Friday and it pinched the sciatic nerve to the right leg. The nuerologist said it was the strongest prescript available. Been doubling the dosage and just seems to be doing next to nothing.
Thanks Marty.

Cig...I just asked my girlfrind who is a Pharmecist and she said that hydromorphone is one of the best...she said there is not much after that but you can possibly ask the Doctor for Duragesesic Patches...
