Big boys big toys. That is how it is and always will be. If there isn't a record for something someone will make one and there is always some dumbass willing to try to break it.

This is just a multi-million dollar pissing contest......

but hell I'll stand on the dock and watch. Bets anyone?

What are the odds.

Oh yeah I heard toys-r-us is building the motors. And I heard they are one million trillion hp each.

I heard Austin Coil (of Top-Fuel Dragster fame) was going to build them.

Seriously, why not build a pair of 7000Hp capable motors that start and idle out on gasoline, build up some speed on gasoline, and then slam the wastegates (or some other boost limiting device) shut and inject nitromethane. Voila instant 14000hp!

It's just someone elses money

You're going for the attempt as well Ted?

Maybe we should put a Bullet 130 together and whip their a$$........

Bullet 130 + Merc 2.5 EFI = Blazing speed

Unless of course we can find a couple of spare turbines(3) and then we'll just use my big boat.

...I agree....when different "Magazines" do "testing"....make it mandatory for testing boats with equal power and "equal" size..and we know that you measure what's in the water not what's hanging off the ends....then you could see 2 38' boats and know what's going on....a lot of these tests are basically who has the fanciest engines wins...or have the boat tested with a couple engine packages...with some gear and gas in the tank...let's make it a bit more realistic...some magazines do a good job of this...
