Cuda,
Im am working on some packages and pricing, Because of the aplication's, HP numbers, RPM variation's,and the amount of torque the drives will handle, prices can vary....... I think the right aproach will be to build a solid foundation bottom end with high quality parts,(callies cranks, oliver rods,JE pistons&rings)that can handle anything you can put to it, and stick to that format, for whatever HP the engine makes. That way part failures will be a miniumum. In short price it as a long block foundation, and then customize for that customer's individual taste and style. also I want these engine's to sound the best, run the best, and look the coolist, On the water. I think of engines that I build like my children. And I am proud of them just like the customer's that own them!!!

Now, I know all that is a bold statement, and there are some great eng. builders out there, Cobra,Chief,Keith Eickert,Sterling,Pfaff. I do not even know I would be in there class. They have spent years earning there reputation. (my hats off to all of them). But we will work hard to get there in time................... KR

Jmackin,
From the look of the superchargers and the flame arrester's,I would say those came from the original Hawk founders. They most likely came in that boat back when Craig was in charge, also looks like someone put HP500 merc valve cover's and pulley's on it. Look's good man!!!! KR

Kevin, Tried to contact you by phone.
I will try again on Monday.
I agree and do the same. Treat each as if it were for my own boat. Naturally, many will be stand- offish for a while. I good friend of mine was burned pretty bad ($72K worth) - he said he will have nothing to even do with the name after that. Naturally, I understand his feelings. This, in my experience, is not the average performance boater - most are great people and why this business is so fun --- even with the long hours involved.

Kevinr

Good luck with Hawk, the name is famous, an has been for many years. Its rep. for years has been great.
I would guess that if you do good business in the future
the name will be great again.
By the way, do you have any of the HAWK name tags for my valve covers, they got messed up when I rebuilt my 525 HAWK engines. let me know, thanks an again best of luck with your endeavor.

lucky, I do have a few of those cast covers, like above. I can make you a good deal . I will be changing them in the future, to just say Hawk with the logo like the originals more like your engines. KR
