On another note, here is a Scarab that I would actually own:cool: But for about $30k less than his asking price:rolleyes: That 50' is sad all together:( I still can't see how people can just let great boats rot away and get into that shape:mad: |
Fever Mike, this guy has had this boat for sale for a very long time at $79,000:crazy: When I bought mine from Pier 45 back in 1997 I paid $75k otd on the trailer. He had it on consignment for awhile but they told him to come get it since he was'nt ready to part with it for a realistic price. I think he probably paid to much when he originally bought it then he over invested in the boat and is trying to recoup his losses. Probably his first boat and he just does'nt know what it is worth:confused:
I was thinking that this boat was worth $49k max, what do you think a good selling price would be? The owner needs to get realistic on his pricing and realize that it is a 9 year old boat that was driven very hard before he had ownership. Maybe he is'nt to serious about selling it and in a few years he will be selling it in the same condition as the Larry Smith 38' :eureka: The he will drop his price to $69k:rolleyes: :D |
I have a 1987 38’ full Kevlar lay-up, race deck, stored inside, new trailer, never been rigged, no holes in the hull for $35k.

I wonder is this guy actually believes his 9 yo Scarab is worth $86,000:confused:  Maybe he owes Fat Tony $75g and selling his boat is the only way out:eureka:  I don't know whether to feel sorry for people like this or be mad that they might be trying to pull a scam:mad: The boat does look very rough and needs some TLC, either it was used and abused or outright neglected. Each time I see this ad I truly think that the guy is just lost in his own world without a clue of what he has...We all know Florida is salt water and that Scarabs were made there. Yet this Scarab somehow is freshwater use only:confused: I am far from a genius but I think anyone could figure that one out...And the magzine article may have also given that one away:p |
