And by the way, NJ has doubled the reg. fee for this year, at least in my case. Now my 30 foot boat reg. cost is $52.00 instead of $26.00.
I wish I could double my prices of what I sell in 1 year, but I don't have a monopoly, plus all my customers would leave me if I did. It amazes me what they can do just because they have the power to change the fees. Just a drop in the bucket compared to fuel costs this year anyway. Nobody's getting Christmas gifts this year.:D |
In NJ your reg # will be something like NJ123456. You need to have a bigger space between the NJ and the # part, like NJ 123456. The marine police (division of the state police) WILL pull you over for this crap. Theyre just looking to get paid. I hate that crap. dont give them an excuse.

Thats just a reason to get pulled over which you don't need. Get a vinyl sign from a sign shop, there are plenty of choices of colors and fonts.

Typestries in Manahawkin is a good source for vinyl lettering and graphics. I am documented and when pulled over last year in AC inlet on a temp in my old 292 the state police were anything but pricks checked the paper work and sent me on my way with no hassle never even asked to see the the permanant doc #s. I don't think NJ the place sucks I think NJ Insurance and government suck. Most think of the northern industrial areas and don't even know about places like LBI.MY .02
JIm MCgreedy for pres Not! |
Dare I mention " personal watercraft " 1 Most dealers of personal watercraft have been selling kits of vinyl letters, multiple colors, multiple styles and very reasonably.
law says the #'s must be 3' high, of any color, must contrast hull color as to be easily recognizable and must be in the front 1/3 of boat. |
