Caincando1, Trying to put together a list of all the 21-24 ft. boats that have similar lines as the Pantera in post 1. I believe Fever Mike earlier referred to it as the Miami style. I ran across a Seahawk 24 footer last year that had never been rigged.Price was 3.000 dollars.Cool boat but was sold before I could get to it.

Thanks Fever Mike.We are looking for a project mainly to see what my stepson can do with his painting talent. He has done bikes, trucks, cars etc.A few times he has done jobs just designing and masking off graphics on cars.He has not done any boats yet. This boat would be the test subject and we love the classic lines of the Panteras etc.Maybe one day he will be doing custom graphics for a major company.I'm doing my best to encourage him.Jim

What was the name of the boat company in Algonac Michigan that made a similar looking boat in the 70's? It may have been around or bought out by Sunsation years back, memory is shot sorry

I drove a 24' Pantera with a 330HP 454 with the pre-Bravo drive that looked like an Alpha but "beefed" up.

My only thoughts are why can't we have a "way back machine"??

To go back in time for a moment where the boats is zipping flawlessly through and on top of waves, the engine sounded like Pepe' and Jo singing the National Anthem. Wait. It can be done, just buy one!

My suggestion is the boat can easily take 500HP

By a 496 HO single and do the heads thing!

Well you get my drift. The 24' Pantera rules!

Banana Boat

From what I know, the Banana Boat was made for racing more than for pleasure, thus the no frills.

I don't even have a drink holder yet.

Banana Boat has an 8 foot beam as opposed the the 7 on most of the others.

Biggest difference is that the deck of a Banana looks like an early 35 cigarette flat deck.

The deck does not even have the slightest bump or curve to it.

6" walk around deck on either side instead of the cockpit going all the way to the gunnel.

V shaped fairing.

No pad on the bottom so it slices really nice through the rough.

Here is a pic...

Python started out in Michigan in the 70's and then moved to Buford GA in the early to mid eighties. Is this the company you are referring to?
