Platinum powerboats

Anyone know anything about their 41 vee bottom? It looks like a great boat.

I spoke with Jim Dyke after he ran the vee once. He was very impressed with it. He said it ran very fast for it's size considering it had 500hp's. He said it sliced through mixed, snotty water of Lake Erie and that he was impressed by its handling and rough water prowess. You should speak with him about it directly. It is a great looking boat.

Micheal Peters designed the bottom. One of the best hull designers in the world, that's why the boat works so well. That and it's light. Epoxy, prepreg, baked, etc.

View www.mpyd.net for more info in Micheal.

Difficult to justify price considering options.

If your going to spend 4 - 500K on a 41 or 42 vee you could purchase an OL which will have some resale value.

The 399 Skater is also in that range and would provide you with stable resale if you can wait long enough?

The new 41 Chief with steps should be efficient enough and will have a great following, contact Sean Stinson, he can answer any questions on the Chiefs. Price should be right as well.

I am sure there are others out there I am missing. Needless to say that price range buys alot of boat and opens quite a few doors. Oh to have such a difficult decision :)

Good luck,

Whirly

Rode in the 41 in KeyWest last Nov., great boat with 500efi. It ran low 90's , flew level and never hit hard once.

Looks like a great boat, wish there were more of them out there. Price seems to be high, but quality seems to be right up there with the best of them. The freeboard looks short by the pics as well as the cabin headroom height. Great speed from the Merc's, but it's not for me, I'll take my Nortech condo and put some change in my pocket.;)

Everything about the boat is attention to detail. The paint is white so that the lines are not masked.
The engine package that is in it shows the performance of the hull. It is simple to go out and overpower and mask flaws in a design. This boat is stable and fast.
An Autoclave built boat is the ultimate. It is built like a F1 car.
It maybe pricey but it is worth every cent.
It is the Ferrari of boats.
