Tantrum I believe Jaws did run a 28' skater back eather
US Offshore or /and APBA . I think they progressed through different classes and hulls over the years. Al F. out of NY owned Body guard and also had a few different boats . The last one being a state of the art skater duel canopy witch he ran then believed sold the team. Both were Great teams and ran each event hard. Jo |
Tantrum,
The JAWS boat pictured above is the SUPERBOAT Cat I told you about this morning. After they raced it, they sold it and bought the above BODY GUARD and renamed it JAWS. The BIG JAWS they are referring to is the one that runs in OPEN/SUPERBOAT Class. |

S-69 BodyGuard, most recently this canopied Skater, was recently sold overseas. Mark House, of VA, aka 'skater' of OSO, is currently looking into another class of boat racing.

The boat in post #3 and #5 is the one Im interested in finding info about.
Does anyone know who ownes it now? Is Al F an OSO member? How do I get in touch with him? |
Al Faela does not own it any longer. I believe it is owned by Dave Horstman. He live in NJ and I believe owns a recycling business of sorts.
The canopied boat above is a one off 30 footer with a widened tunnel. |
I think Shane is right, Dave H. still owns the boat and I think it is in East Hanover, NJ.I know someone who can find out whats up with it if your that interested.
|
I have pics of the boat from 1999 w al and jeff sitting on it if you are still interested
|
Chris we originally built and rigged the 28 that won A LOT of races
|
If my memory serves me correct I think the 30" Canopy boat pictured above went over seas.
|
I know the 28' was later sold to the Jaws team and was raced a few times by then. A local friend who owns a marina in my area did a few powerheads for the Jaws team.
