New Powerboat Magazine 46' Skater?
The article had the new 46' Skater listed as tested weight at 5000lb. It had like 1100/1350 h.p. and #6's(I think). It seems just the powertrain and rigging would weigh that much Am I confused or is their weight wrong?

In the editorial section someone asked a weight question simular to this. PB stated that they request the bare hull weight, and this is what they publish. If some manufactures give a finished weight they still publish the weight, so it ends up looking as if some boats are a ton and others are light. Hope that explains it a little.

Yes, I believe it was. It was a sweet ride. My buddy has a 46' "Freedom" and I know it weighs a hell of alot more than that, but he also had a pleasure cabin installed. Those things sure ride sweet after you get them on top of the water.
