FORD EXCURSION or F250 advice
What can I do to get my Ford Excursion lifted in the rear.
They have leaf springs and I was told air bags is the way to go, or putting extra leafs springs will be best. Any help and advice will be aprreciated.

Go to Superduty Headquarters online and check out the Edge lift. When ready, call them and ask for Ryan.
Get the Edge 3.5" lift. Lifts the front slightly, levels the rear. Uses Bilstein shocks.
I just did this to my 2003 Excursion. I'm very, very pleased with the outcome. Completely improved the ride...and leveled things out. Cost apx. $1,500 for parts, and apx. $400 for install at my local service place.
I am installing rear airbags on the X, as it has apx. 2" sag whent he boat's hooked up.

Are you wanting to lift the vehicle, or make it ride level when towing. This will make a difference.
I wouldn't lift one with the intention of towing a heavy load.

The onl difference between an F250 and F350 is the hieght of the rubber spacer blocks in the rear suspension. A lot of guys who have F350 who want them to sit level swap out the blocks. The rest of the truck is the same except for the price tag and the sticker in the door that syas how much you can legally tow. A cheap alternaive to air bags but your ass will be in the air all the time

Buck183 I want the vehicle level when I trailer the boat, for those of you saying go with the air bags is that with a self leveling compressor installed or without.
