Tow the car with the truck........I must be missing something. If that does not work as a result of the truck you rented, take it back and rent a truck from Ryder along with one of their car haulers. Then you can tow the boat with the Burban.
EXACTLY what I was thinking. They all rent car trailers. Get one and it will have the correct size ball, then use the Suburban to tow the boat..

Oh god yea, I thought you were moving it around in the driveway or in the marina. If your going cross country dont even consider what I said. Ive occationally had to borrow a 4 wheel drive truck to get mine up the ramp since I only have 2 wheel drive. The 2" ball they sometimes had worked for that. Then Id hook my truck up with the right equipment and go down the road.

My only complaint about Champion is shipping timeframes. Its always later that what you pay for. You may pay for quick delivery, but it takes them a couple days to fill the order.... just FYI.

wwwTOPDJcom 05-07-2004 09:28 AM

Brian, I never had any wait with them and Im on my 4 or 5th order takes a few days or so to get to NY.

Sydwayz 05-07-2004 09:34 AM

I paid for overnight once. It took them 3 days to fill it; 4 to get it. Pissed me off, and pushed back my first splash of season a week. I did get my shipping money back, but that's not the point.
