2001 Cadillac Eldorado

Main problem is a leak from the oil manifold(seal between the engine halves) and pulling head bolts from the block (causes head gasket leaks). Both of these are multi-thousand dollar repairs and usually the reason low mileage vehicles are sold. I would definitely recommend an extended warranty if he buys it-as long and as inclusive as he can find-it will pay for itself.

Teds right.
We at South shore so not sell to many if any at all.
Main Seals and head gaskets are notorious problems.
Let me know if you need any more help.
PS it doesn't mean that this car is bad. Your dad probably loves it. Just have it checked out.

I had a Ram and now a SD so I can see where the ride of the Caddy would be sweet. I love those cars, they just float along at 75-80 like on air (and it may well have air ride) I just saw a blue 1997 for $3400, it was on the side of the road in front of a really nice house so it may be a good one.

The Eldorado is no longer produced. I would recommend an STS Seville over this. The 2001 Eldorado was the last of an older body style. Nothing wrong with it, but the Seville was upadted to a newer floorpan in 1997.
The Northstar engine is a great engine.
