i think it went about 48 or so, but hard to tell with no speedo or gps

My second boat was a brand new 1982 15' Checkmate with a 115 Merc. 55 MPH was tops if you could handle the kiting. Not much around topped that back then. It was a fun boat

I grew up around 6' to 8' 1 seater thin plywood hydros.Powered by custom built Wizard outboards. Not sure how fast but fast enough for me at the age 12-14. If my mother ever new my dad would let me drive. Never mind
