These size boats will especially benefit with the new 450R being introduced next month, or whatever it's going to be called.

lake pal, there is a thread here somewhere that has pics of 550HP+ Merc outboards, it's real, I'm convinced

I might get yelled at so I won't even bring it up

550 seems like an awfully big jump in HP and way beyond the normal Merc increase in HP. Not saying they couldn't easily make 550hp..............

my source says the announcement in a few weeks in TN will be in between the 450 HP to 500 HP range.

You bet they'll be popular, so popular that the OEM's will order up 100 percent of Mercury's capacity. In my simpleton opinion, the aftermarket will struggle to see any for some time.

We were just having a conversation about the new 300. The manufacturers cannot even get the motors. the new supercharged 300 will really be scarce. Going to have to stick with the 400R. Remap it to 500.
