Actually, it has the Foyt name on the back, as AJ's family sponsored the award. It's on my wrist right now, as it has been every day since May 25, 1985. Even more precious is the Rookie Chief Mechanic of the Year award from 1985. You only get one shot at winning that one. Of course, 1981, 1984, 1987, 1988, 1991, 1993, 1994, 2001, 2002, and 2003 also had their high points....

And yes, the race lost all it's appeal for me after 1995. That doesn't take anything away from each person's effort, though, and Buddy is to be congratulated for his accomplishment. It didn't hurt that Honda has unleashed a real weapon of an engine on everyone - the first seven were all powered by Honda. We (Helio Castroneves) are the first non-Honda in 8th with Toyota power.

We started 8th with Danny Sullivan in 1985, too. Hmmm....

no buddy is great but my point its not real racing when its controled... spec wings on all cars!! its like comunism and capitalism f1 capitalism but it shows real desparity between team nascar comunism like control and equalizing shows no desparity between a hot shoe and a has been/ never will be i love watching watching nascar post race interviews of20-35 place drivers saying things didnt work out that day it was a great result and watch out next week... and they never done jack!!!
