inboard or out.I have a 30' Shadow with 2100H.P. about 1 Mile to the gallon at cruise.(120)I have seen triple out boards on the same size tunnel get less at same speed but there W.F.O.Just depends on you addition to speed. Insurance depends 500 to 2000 |

Well, don't forget about the 3100 American Offshore... great rough water capabilities, no center pod, nice cabin size, and is legal to trailer. I have a "demo" that runs low to mid 90's GPS with 496 mag HO's... not to mention the most reasonably priced of any other brands mentioned.

I had a 2001 Spectre with twin 300xs', great boat but I to needed a cabin with two kids. Bought a 2002 30' Daytona with twin 620 Teagues, great boat with a nice cabin. Boat had every option avail. from Eliminator and won the LOTO shot out for nonsupercharged at 116 mph, high speed on dash mount GPS was 118 mph. I traded the boat into Martins Offshore in FL. They have a good price on it and the boat needs nothing. If you are looking for a thirty I would call Top Gun Bob at Martins and give it a look. If you would like more info on it PM me.

Well I checked on insurance. And after taking to 22 different insurance companies I could not find anyone that would insure a 23 year old on a CAT. We need to be 25 or older to even be considered. So it looks like i will keep my boat for the year. Thanks for all the information, I will be in the market for a CAT this time next year!

My truck is a 2001 2500 dodge ram with a V10. I redid the front end of the truck with a bilet grill, air dam, and painted the stock bumpers to make it look nicer. The rims are 20's and the tires are copper 275-60R20. The truck rides a little rougher but I think it is worth the trade off. Don |
