That's going to hurt the re-sale value!

I have it on email but can't post it here for some reason. Nice boat....It WAS at least.

They say drinking and/or driver inexperience is at fault in more than half of the boating accidents. I imagine weather is probably a big factor as well. Going out in nice conditions that quickly change has caught many a "fair weather" boater off guard.

The accident happened on Lake Hartwell in SC. There is a thread already posted on OSO with all the pictures in it. The boat was purchased from Pier57 and it was 1 week old

Those?

Phucktard nailed us for another insurance hike, anyone knows him? Wiping out such a fine machine after 5 hours he should kill himself so as not to dilute the gene pool...

Idiot.

I didn't think fountain used any wood in their boats; I was obviously mistaken

That boat had a nice custom paint job too. It's like buying a $ 400,000 Ferrari and not making 300 miles before it's totaled. Tractors and other machinery have "built in lanyards" maybe they can come up with something you have to knowingly or unknowingly keep pressure on or the stern drives go into neutral automatically after a predetermined period of time . Like a combo of seat and stand-up sensors, or a steering wheel sensor. Something "passive in nature" and not too obtrusive would have saved the boat and the chance of the boat running into somebody at high speeds including those who bailed. It could be a potential solution. Perhaps unpopular too! Who knows. If I had a nice boat like that I would use the lanyards for a little while at least.

It does seem like more of these accidents are happening with less experienced drivers. Reggie has thousands of hours on his boats and pushes them real hard and I don't see him in the trees. It's all about experience and seat time in this case.
