i'm spinning 15x32's at 63-6400 and my best is 106. according to spectre i can bring my motors up approx 1/2 inch more if i wanted more out of her. water pressure is fine right now...16-20 at 100+ mph. that 106 was also with 2 people and apprx 90-100 gals of fuel...but its a consistent 100-102 boat reguardless of load

Bern you have plenty of water pressure as well. What is your propshaft height now?

1 3/8 above...was told i could run 2 - 2 1/16 as long as water pressure is good

according to spectre he usually sets them at 1 5/8's above...says with right prob, right set-up...yada yada he's seen plenty run in the low 1 teens

I can with alot weight in the boat on a normal height of about 1 3/4 above the bottom. When I ran 109.2 I was only turning 6200. This weekend I just ran 107 @ 5900-6000 with a ton of water pressure, thats somewhere between 9-10% slip. I took the back seat out of the boat but was full of fuel and had my girlfriend in the boat. With 1 person, 1/4-1/2 tanks and motors raised about 1/4" I think I can break 110 maybe even get to the 112 mark. According to my Tachs though, my rev limiters do not come on until 6300-6400.

I am pretty sure low 1 teens is a stretch, however 108-110 I have heard a few times.

Bern Your motor height is very conservative, 1 3/4''- 2'' would be close to max. I think you have some speed hiding your setup yet.

Wayne My boat ran 109 at 6100 as well, interesting. Most of the ecu boxes seem to kick the limiters at 6400rpm. mine for some reason were at 6100rpm. TheY are now at 6700rpm

peak rpm's for the x's are 65-6800...according to the manual the limiters are set at 7100

The x motors have a better oil system that allows more rpm +30 more hp
Those old promaxs were designed for old fishing boats or crab boats!
