Thanks, the thing is a hoot, nobody knows what to think of it.

Robert, DAMN YOU ! Man I was really looking forward to seeing TONTO ( and Demi) at Smoke ! Oh well, on both runs the Yam's ran out of steam at 5600, I've got some new props from Throttle Up ( 27's) in an attempt to reduce the rpm. I don't expect to pick up speed just make the most of the power band, I'll try to get'em on next week.
I have to agree that the water density is a double edged sword, and I always wondered if they offset. With this particular rig, even with the drag issues (code for inefficiencies) of triples (god they're fun though) this old straight bottom design likes salt MUCH better.

Audacity, the new prop designs have much merit, and my inventory of 4, 5, and 6 blade Herings with varying degrees of rake up to 20 for WW have taught ( and cost) me a ton. However, on straight bottoms reducing slip while maintaining attitude or attack angle is still the holy grail. You guys with those silly step bottoms running around on their toes don't know what you're missing  Guys it's a joke, get it.....A JOKE !!!!

The Six blades do have a certain "look" I'm not yet sure they're best all around, I'm waiting to back on the water with the new X dim.

Nice pick Jim, I like the muffler baffles in the F-U position.
