I thought this be be of some help to some Cat owners. I know alot of cat owners that have had premiums increased tremendously, denied coverage, etc.....

I was just reading the newest issue of Powerboat and they had some info in the 2004 boaters guide for CAT INSURANCE. It says.......

NEW and EXCLUSIVE High-performance Catamaran programs available.
-agreed value
-reduced rates
-unlimited navigation
-A rated companies

contact WORLDWIDE MARINE 800-339-1235

Good luck!!

I think that has been advertising for some time now. Doesn't it say something about 30' and larger?

The add doesn't mention anything about value or size of the boat to be insured. I hope this helps out a few people!

It'll still cost me 3k a year and they won't touch a 26' boat. Been there...done that... :(

First Marine Insurance Company does my 26 Eliminator that goes 100mph for $610 a year. They tell me that since it is a 26, it is classified in there "Yacht" category and doesn't follow normal underwriting guidelines.

My old 98 25 Elminiator is now insured with Farm Bureau and they are writing it for $560 a year.

You have to know when to hold em, and know when to fold em. Keep your top speed on the "Down Low" when talking to insurance companies.

Seems there are some size considerations with the insurance of the smaller cats.
Im looking at 28 Skater's and am aware of some of the insurance issue's. What I wasnt aware of is the "length" requirments.
Is there really a difference between a 28 and a 30?

I'm looking to insure my new 33 Daytona. Can you post their phone number. I'm getting some awfully ugly quotes these days.
