Wasabe, I'll go out on a limb here and state that most guys, and maybe some gals, would JUST LOVE to teach you how to "manipulate" a stick. Probably even throw in a lesson about using the "shift lever", back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, really back and then really really forth.
That's what so wonderful about OSO, you ask and we shall answer.

Careful, fellas. The first time I met Wasabe, she was sporting a shirt that said "I make boys cry", and I believe it.
Wasabe - Great idea. My better half ("Woo-Hoo!") is very pro-active on the boat, although maneuvering the 38 with twins around the docks still intimidates her. She is great with docklines, fenders, etc. I let her call the shots as to when we go in for the dock. She also runs everything to do with preparing and packing the boat, helps with oil changes and winterizing (you Californians wouldn't know about that...), and is ruthless when it comes to keeping it clean. It's given her a great comfort level while she's on the boat and makes it that much more relaxing and enjoyable for both of us. If the California Cavemen (Jeff and Norty) won't cooperate, then stop on by the East Coast, and we'll help you out.

C-Spray-Deb's the same way, she holds her own as far as a lot of the "prep" work goes and constantly covers my a$$ on making sure the drives are up before she pulls the boat out. She takes care of retreating the truck, backing down the ramp, wouldn't know what to do without her.

Wasabe,
Great idea! I hear ya, I need to learn alot more about the technical stuff.
Funny, I read my powerboat, hot boat and extreme mags every month and I read all the tech stuff and letters about guys wanting to make their boats faster and most of the time I don't even understand what I am reading. Would be nice to wake up one day and have it all make sense, huh!
Well, if anything ever materializes like a workshop or hands-on training for chicks, count me in!
Hey Dave,
Hope your doing well!
