I spoke to a dealer who had 6 Brands of high performance boats and now none. The dealership feels that a huge factor in the drop is due to shifts in the corporate economy and outsourcing of goods and services. An example is that the auto manufacturers used to build cars from the ground up. Now, Ford for example is basically an engine builder and an automobile assembler. Everything is out sourced. Those guys buying boats would use overtime and bonus dollars to purchase RV's. A lot of that type of income has evaporated. These folks were the bread and butter of this and a lot of other industries. Also, American's are overburdened with credit card debt and have financed themselves with home equity loans as well to their limit. The upper end will always be there and the bottom end never had a chance at having this equipment, but middle America is stretched to the max. Look at all the great deals out there and so few takers. I am sure the pendulum will hopefully swing back and allow more to enjoy recreational vehicles in larger numbers. But lately it seems everybody works more and harder and gets less in general. My friends sit around and moan about their stock market losses and others complain they can't find a decent place to put their money to buy some of the things they want with investments. This is a small part of a much bigger problem. Few economists have a solution but will agree that Americans have less quality time to invest along with less dollars. Hope things improve soon!

We need to talk. I had over 20 calls on mine in less than 3 weeks. One from Cali, cash in hand. One from Canada, was heading my way to pick it up. Had at least 4 other buyers w/ cash in hand locally wanting it too. I was able to choose my buyer. A luxury I doubt I'll get to enjoy much in life. I have left my ad up on Boattrader with your boat in mind. If I get anymore calls I'm gonna forward them to you.

I think the guy that bought my boat called you the other day about some parts.

Big boat, three engines, $1/4 Mill, Cha-ching to haul, run and insure.

Everyone wants one but when reality hits your in rarefied air on who can swing all the bills. I'd say 3% of the population so be patient you'll find your guy you did a great job and Ray is an exemplary fellow to deal with on any transaction.
