Default Houston's 5-blade

I know all I do is complain here, but you might want to read this:
I'd like to sell my Houston Prop 5-blades, but I couldn't do it in good conscience. After selling me a pair for $1800 Darin tells me they've "shtcanned the experiment". I didn't know it was an experiment. Now he says he'll try to help me "unload" them. Who the hell is going to buy a pair of failed experiments?
Thanks for letting me fund your research, Darin. That's what I call "Weird Science".

Thats nice to READ, why I thought I told you these were the first props out and we talked about the good and the possible bad here.

we re worked the props and tried to achieve better results, after taking to you I said we will no longer be selling these props.I would be more than glad to have worked with you no matter what it would have taken. shocked.!!!!!!!

They might not have worked well for your application but perhaps they will work great on someone else's. Why don't you post some pics and specs?

Roby, these might well be someone else's dream props. I think they'd work better on a lighter boat or a stepped hull (mine's a 42 vee, 12000 lbs). My disappointment was that I felt like an orphaned guinea pig.
Here's what I'll do: I paid $1800 for the props (5-blade, labbed 28 pitch). If anyone wants them, I'll sell them for half price and eat the other $900. I'm sure if you buy them Darin at Houston will work with you to get them right for your boat.

rj1340 had the props for sale in the parts section , I, printed it,

The Houstons five blades run pretty identical to the 30 pitch Bravo-one four blades that I have. quote.

also the midrange cruising was 3 mph better .

this is before it was deleted post # 152 dated 5-10-04 at 7:42a.m.
