"The best of the best, the cream of the crop" in St. Pete for OSS race
"The best of the best, the cream of the crop" (Mike Tomlinson) of Offshore Racing are in St. Petersburg for this weekend's OSS race.
30 boats answered roll call on Friday evening
7 Super Cats.
11 (!) Super Cat Lights.
8 Super Vees.
4 Super Vee Lights.
The race of the titans is on Sunday, 6/27, and it will be transmitted live by http://www.talk-offshore.com

Make sure you tune into the Offshore Super Series St. Petersburg Race on Sunday June 27 by going to www.talkoffshore.com. We will send another reminder with exact times. It is planned that we will go on air at 12:00pm EDT.

They put that race so far off the Pier from downtown its a joke. It has nothing to do with OSS its all the City of St.Petersburg and the Save the Manatee bullchit. Even a spectator boat can expect to be back a 1/2 mile from the race course and they enforce this like the WATER GESTAPO. In fact we were told any boat comes into the race area perimiter on plane they will bring the race to a stop. I think there are other cities willing to be more hospitable to OSS. Having said that im going back today because I love the sport and I support the race teams 100%.

Well the long anticipated day is here for the running of the Offshore Super Series St. Petersburg, Florida race. The races will begin at 1:00pm EDT and the show will begin at 12:30pm EDT.
Martin will be joined by Charlie Haimes to do the play by play so don't miss the action.
