105, how long did it take you to get from Corpus to Padre and where did you keep your boat? Can you cruise on the beach side of the island? I have never taken a boat out while I was there.

jmeng, Corpus can be fun but you have to know where to go. Honestly there is really only 1 boat friendly bar, which makes no sense to me. I wish someone would open one. It is called Farrahs and it is on Padre Island. Downtown Corpus can be a lot of fun too. Dr. Rockets is a good blues bar. Havana club and Katz 21 are also nice. There is also a bar called Sharkeys in Port Aransas and it is a blast during summer weekends.

BTW, is anyone on OSO from Corpus?

When we were there it was for spring break and we did'nt take a boat...A buddy had worked for an RV dealership since he was 14 and after10 years they told him he could take off in a Monaco coach for a few days as a paid vacation. They gave us the coach and a gas card and said have fun :evilb:

Corpus can be fun but you will have to ask around and see whats going on...South Padre and Mustang Island are ghosts towns right now and there will be nothing to do except cross the border and go shopping....
