So Who Felt The Earthquake in the Midwest Last Night
A 4.5 quake which was centered near Lasall/ Peru hit the midwest at about 1:10 in the morning. It woke Tracy and I up and freaked us out. We didnt know what had just happened, having never experienced one before. The house rumbled and the TV and chandeliers shook. I can't imagine how those Californians deal with that all the time.

I'm near Milwaukee, and didn't feel anything either. We too have a waterbed. I know that everybody else is talking about the quake, so maybe the bed dampened it.

Earthquake, what a load! Todd probably had an extra helping of refried beans down at the Taco Cabana and let one loose!

Re: So Who Felt The Earthquake in the Midwest Last Night
My son comes in the room about 1:15 saying his desk is shaking and something crashed into the roof. My wife tells him something fell in the attic and to go back to sleep. He says "Oh, thats what I thought".
There is absolutely nothing in the attic. I heard nothing.
We are about 5 miles from the WI/ IL border or 90 miles from the quake origin.
