Outerlimts 42 legacy

Does anybody know the weight of a 2001 - 42' Quad Step Legacy? Also does anybody know much about, own or ridden in a 42' Quad step, and is there any reason to stay away from buying one? I'm looking at one to purchase with #6's and 1000HP's Own a 38' Formula 382 and want to go faster.

We own a 37 Quad step, love the boat, the 42 is even better, from what I can tell the difference in length is in the engine compartment. From the back seat to the bow look about the same. Their are several 42 legacy owners on the board. Im sure they will chime in soon. Our 37 has 1000 KE's and 6's. This is a picture of ours.

I am guessing the weight of a non epoxy is 11k-11.5k lbs. The epoxy is listed at 10,500lbs. This is an estimate because I have not seen the specs in writing. Someone with a 42 legacy should know.

That's a big jump in speed potential!

Been on then several times. Why would you not buy one if you can afford it?

No Discipline was the first 42 Legacy built. It ran 94 on 600s and 108 with 800s.

Thanks for the help. Nice boat. How does it handle in the Ocean?

You need to take a ride to believe it. There's no better V on the water.
