Fun outing takes tragic turn off pier

In tonights paper.:(Woman,77,loses arm in boating accident. Marshfield, mass. a woman lost her arm in a boating accident as horrified relatives looked on. Fire Chief said the woman fell from the boat near the town pier shortly after noon yesterday and the propeller severed her arm. She was on a family boat, I believe they were pulling out and there was a sudden movement, she lost her balance then fell over. Three adults and four children also were on the boat.Several people helped pull the woman from the water, then she was rushed to a Boston Hospital. Although it was severe, the only injury was to her arm. Fire department divers found the womans arm at 1:45 p.m. and the State Police took it to the hospital to see if it could be reattached. The Coast Gaurd is investigating. This appears to be just a tragic accident, no one would be charged.) Why would alot of people be on the boat when you are putting it on the trailer? I make everyone get their stuff and get off the boat. Not a good start to the 4th. We use this ramp 2-3 times a week and its very steep. Hope everyone has a safe 4th.

If you watch the video it seems that she was very concerned about recovering her wedding ring from the severed limb.

Luckily someone from the fire department works at the marina and was able to stop the bleeding before the paramedics arrived.
