OT: Chevy dealer help!!
I have a 2003 tahoe 4x4 and the rear brakes are making a lot of noise.
The brake pads look fine and the truck has around 12k on it. The dealer says there is NO recall but a mechanic friend said they been having rear brakes issues and chevy sends new pads to them for free Can anyone out there please send info to me on this topic? I ddi find a TSB # 02-05-26-002A bu tI have no idea what it says. Thanks in advance Rick [email protected] |
Re: OT: Chevy dealer help!!
Well, noise is not a life safety issue, so there wouldn't be any recall. The tsb might detail something about exchanging the pads. If you have the tsb number, then your dealer could tell you what it contains. The other option is to subcribe to one of the one line sites that releases the tsb's. You could also try searching with only the tsb number as the criteria.

Re: OT: Chevy dealer help!!
give me a few minutes to look it up I'll let you know. I know they are junk rotors that are rusting and that causes a vibration and niose but GM isn't doing chit about it right now.
