Default Where do you boat?

After reading this board for a while, I have now decided that my puny little lake up north is nowhere near the top 25 most fun places to boat. The amount of nice 'go fast' boats and the amount of partying seem to be a microcosm of what is happening at your lakes/rivers/oceans...

So i was wondering...:

a) are there any others that boat here in Minnesota... especially on Lake Minnetonka?

b) if not, tell me about your lake or body of water... give me some details about events, party spots, what-have-you... post some pics too.

Thanks

Dan (Ports)

Gulf of Mexico/Intracoastal between St. Pete/ Tampa down to Sanibel Island/Ft. Myers area, Charlotte Harbor etc.

Whatever you are looking for, you'll find it in this area.

OPBA (Offshore PowerBoat Association) is a great "offshore" club based out of St. Pete.

I to live in Minnesota but I boat on the St. Croix River and the Mississippi. You should give it a try, a hell of a lot better place to run. Plus there's not a 45 mph speed limit!!

We have a 31ft Fountain Sportfish down in Marco, but have ventured only as far as Ft Myers.

Yeah the speed limit on Tonka sux... would love to try the river sometime, never have had the experience.

Here are a couple of pics... should have more after tomorrow... will be out at Big Island all day long i expect.

I love the boat so far... would like to try a diff prop to plane out a bit faster... but runs in the low 70's and is a lot of fun. I also like being the only one on the lake with a 24ft Fountain... turns some heads even though there are many sweeter boats out here.
