Default Finding Gully's

My father is coming down with a bunch of friends next Wed to take them out for a ride. He thought the Hudson would be a nice ride instead of slamming everyone out in the Ocean. I mentioned that a few people on OSO talk a lot about Gullys. He's been up the Hudson as far as West Point so he sort of knows that area. How far past West Point is Gullys? Are they open for lunch on weekdays and how are their docks or does he need to tie at that town dock? Will the dock be able to handle a 41? Any pictures would be very helpful as well.

Thanks

Gully's is about 15-20 minutes by car, 5-10 by boat from west point. Their docks leave a lot to be desired, but are doo-able. If there is nobody docked in the front or on the north side, a 40' is no problem. They are open during the day for lunch. They have a nice down stairs rest w/ a bar and upstaris is open air bar and can get food as well. Overall, the food is good, the atmoshere is nice.

Chris is on the money with his reply.
There are docks to the north (by Torches rest.) that are free and much nicer than Gullies docks. There are also several resturants there that are a bit more upscale that Gully's if thats what he is looking for. Whatever he does that 1/4 mile waterfront in Newburgh is the correct destination.

Chris also brings up a good point,,, if your looking for other options besides gully's, you can dock about 1/8 mile north and walk to several nice bars and rests. on the newburgh water front.
