Any idea who is safely passing me at 100 MPH +?
Any idea who is safely passing me at 100 MPH+ in this video? I was doing about 60 MPH, and these boats passed me like I was going 60 MPH backwards.
Go to www.hyperfishing.com, click on the "Video" button.
Make sure your sound is turned on, as this is a .8 MEG .WMV file, and it lasts about 30 seconds on a high speed internet line. Double click on the little blue Media screen to make it full screen. I have watched this about 100 times. <gg>
Impressed the heck out of me, I think it might have been 2 Nor-Tech cats, but not sure. Any guesses? I was headed back to Miami on the Sunday of the November MIA-KW Poker Run. Enjoy!

They look like a 36 and 50 Nortech cats. On your right was a 36 named CYCLONE, and the one on your left was a 50 named Miss Nortech, both beautiful machines. Jeff

Thanks guys, guess I was right about them being Nor-Techs. VERY cool!
And as for the wakes meeting..... yeah, my wife was driving and I cut the subsequent video and comments out. <gg> She did a great job and did not make a panic turn, else we both would have been swimming. The wakes were no more than a foot, but it scared the $%#@ out of the missus.

Thanks, I still can't get enough of that video. Do you have your Scarab in Guam? Is it an in/out Gofast or a "BayWatch" 302 with eggbeaters? I nearly bought one of those before falling in love with the Sonic and visualizing it's sport fishing potential!
What are you catching there, Tuvala? Tuna? Huge marlin? I had a grander (1,000 lbs +) black marlin on half inch nylon rope in Tahiti, used the 50 foot sportfisherman as the rod and reel combo. Have that fight on 8 mm somewhere, likely will never find it though.
Just have a B&H bracket attached to the wind fairing, the Sony DVD camera built in stabilization feature is surprisingly good when being bounced around.
