Reward!!!
Reward for any information leading to the return of my outdrives that were stolen in Annapolis, MD. It happend either Thursday or Friday of the week of 19 July 04 (this week). According to the Anne Arundel County Police my boat as well as others were hit at the same time (a Baja from my marina also had it's bravo stolen). My bravo 1's with nose cones, latham drive showers (and tie bar) as well as 28 pitch bravo props were stolen. If anyone has an idea of what piles of crap would do this then I'd love to know about it. I'm sure that the other owners of the boats would be willing to pitch in on the reward to punish the bastards that did this. If anyone runs accross this stuff for sale cheap then it's most likely stolen so don't support this theft ring by buying stolen stuff.
Thank,
Roy Cochran

Re: Reward!!!
I didn't have the serials written down but they were 1.5 ratio and they had holes for the drive showers (both on the left side of the cav plates).

Re: Reward!!!
I had a alpha one drive almost get stolen a couple years back. I didn't have a locking device at the time. Something spooked them and they just had one more nut to go and it was gone. It wa sa rash in this area and they got about 25 drives and outboards in a 2 week period. Hopefully your insurance will help you out, but still that totally sucks. Lets all keep an eye out for everyones sake. And use drive locks, they are far from foolproof but they cheap insurance to try to slow the bastardfs up.

Re: Reward!!!
I just spoke with the police again and they told me that there had been a big theft ring in area last year that was selling the drives on ebay, the penny saver, and to local marine repair places......please don't support these *******s by buying stolen parts.....if it looks like a very, very good deal then ask yourself if this stuff belongs to someone else.

Re: Reward!!!
fastrrrr,
Wow, what a coincidence my drive was stolen yesterday (or the day before). This took place in southern NJ. The crooks hit a few boats at the same time. The marina across the street from where the drives were stolen had video surveillance and told me that a van with a stripe pulled in then pulled out. I hope the police get them.
