I had a off the wall question when. Has anyone either tried or thought to Put Rain-X on the bottom of there hull and outdrives? If so, what were the results?

I have never tried it but, alot of drag racers use it on the last few feet of the boat, they also put it on there lower units, If you try it DO NOT get it on your props!

Here's a better solution. Rain-X wax. I was going to do the same thing your talking about....till I saw the RainX wax product. Good stuff, can't even put the dang boat cover on without it sliding all over the place. I'm really pleased with it.

How long does it last on the sides of the boat that are in the water? Seems like it will wash off after a couple outings.

The stuff ifs slick.
yeah man it's slick as heck. no way I'm going across the bow after putting that wax on, that stuff is something else.
