Key West World ?????'s
 

I'm trying to make reservations for the Key West Worlds.

I've never been to the keys and am looking for help. I found a cheap flight to Miami, and was planning on renting a car to drive the rest of the way - ought to be a nice drive.

As I'm looking into rooms, it seems like parking may be a problem on the island, am I gonna spend a fortune just to park a car? would I be better off to just fly into Key West and taxi/bike the whole time?

What about rooms? - I've found several B&B's that seem resonable - just not sure what I'm getting into. Suggestions would be helpful.

BTW - if anyone needs 2 additional "scorers/ lap counters" to ride in their boat, we'll be there!!!!

Have done the same thing that you are, in the past. The drive is nice, and parking was NOT a problem. Stayed at the Southern Most Hotel, nice place. Rented scooters, just to say that we had " been there, done that"

Got kicked out of Key West because of a hurricane, was nice to have our own car then, just drove back up to South Beach for a couple of days, then back to Key West. No damage, the hurricane turn after it hit Cuba.

good you only got kicked out of key west for a hurricane, I'm likely to get kicked out for worse...

But how bad can it be in the Key's?

Hell, - I've only been arrested at Put-In-Bay ONCE, and that was only a $75.00 fine. (btw - THE JAIL THERE SUCKS!!!!)

Seriously though, I'm gonna blow a lot of money on this junket, and I wanna make it a good time.

If parking on the island is not a problem I think it would be a really nice drive from Miami - I just don't want it to turn into a headache once I get there.
