If Don Aronow were with us today would he be represented at the Kilo Today?

Don was always into racing in every company he had! It was the competition that drove him not the sales. Would he have been there today with Cigarette?

Don was a racing fool and Cigarette was his favorite. It is a nice thought.

Then again, he did sell it, with a contract to never build a V bottom again right?

You forgot the choice of "Who give a rat's azz"

Cigarette doesn't need to get involved in these ridiculous ego fests.. ;)

Congrats to all the Fountain people :) :)

For those who have not seen this it's worth a look.

"By 1969 Aronow had founded the Formula, Donzi, Magnum and Cigarette companies, each time putting his own neck on the line by race-testing his pro*ducts. He won the 1967 world, U.S., French, Italian, English and Swedish titles switching from single-engine craft to inboard/outboards in a series of his Magnum hulls".

My best guess is he would not have been able to resist today's competition event. Why? He was a lot like Enzo Ferrari. He built to race not raced to build!

I was under the impression that near the end of his life he was more into horses than boats. My bet is that if he were alive today, he wouldn't have given a damn who won this thing.
