I was just checking out the recent post about the Fountain Kilo run. I am absolutely, unequivocally astounded at Mr. Fountains performance. Not only am I amazed at the speed at which the boat traveled, I'm simply taken that Reggie throttled the boat himself. How old is Reggie...55-60. I guess I'm impressed at his commitment to his product. I'm sure the man has sold enough boats and made enough money to relax a bit. Instead, he proves his product and his skills. I'm not a Fountain owner but when I see a display of commitment like this, I really wish I was on the same team! Congratulations and Hats off Mr. Fountain

I am thinking more about the 177.5 MPH one way ride more than anything. That is the number that has to be topped in my books. Rots of ruck to anyone who thinks they can do it 'cause I am Never going that fast in a v-bottom. I went 90 once and was scared stiff of a wave or roller coming and sending me flying out. Hey when it comes to speed I want a boat with a good top end so I have a good cruising speed and the possbility of a decent WOT now and then. That's it for me.
