Question, assuming a clockwise rotation, wouldn't the shape of the bay just funnel the water right in? If there is a 10' surge at the mouth of the bay, I'd suspect that the water would stack up and be much higher than that twords the back of the bay....

Debbie's autistic son stays in a home in St Pete. They called this morning and told her to come get him. She said she had never seen so many cars as those headed east over the Howard Franklin Bridge. She's on her way back now. She didn't take the bridge back, she went around the bay to 275.
The storm is also raising havoc with my work schedule. I have four guys working in Orlando. Two are from Pinellas. I had to send them home to take care of there houses leaving me short handed on a rush job. I think the rush may take a back seat now since the super had to leave to tend to his waterfront house in Pinellas.
Two of my other guys and I were in Jacksonville today working. A lady pulls in and comes in the restaurant. She didn't want to eat. She said her husband had just called her and said there was a tornado they were watching from the office building downtown that was near us, and she was seeking shelter. I saw on the news that the twister derailed two train cars. I think it had to be the train that went by right after she came in.
