I'll post this as question.

I kept my old Baja in the water all season, only pulled it to clean every other week. now, the boat had problems before I bought it ( that I didn't know about, and a survey would have been a better idea [hindsight = 20/20]).
However... I used the boat 6 days a week. Sometimes just to hang out in dock, clean, do minor repairs, but most times I'd at least take it out for an hour just to run it.
Would that make any difference in the longevity of the boat/engine(s)? Not running hard all the time just a quick cruise - top off the tank, stop and have a few barley pops and listen to a band. I definelty put on more hours (111 hrs. would be less than one season for me).
But, would actually using the boat help? After all, the motors are running frequently ( if I set foot on the boat, I at least started it and ran it for a 15 minutes - pissed off the rest of the marina with the noise) - and actually out running, at least I got a little of the scum that was growing to come off?
Any thoughts on this?
Or are my ways sacriligeous to the boat Gods?

OK, I'll go ahead and throw this out there and let someone snatch it up from under me. The asking price is $25,000. The interior looks in good to great shape, shorepower, onboard battery charger, electric bolsters, K-planes, silent choice exhaust, snap out carpet, new cockpit cover, one owner, claiming 111 hours. Oh yea, it also comes on the Myco trailer in the picture. Trailer is not the best in appearance, but the strength is there.

Does he accept cash and can I have a phone number?

I don't want my boat anymore after reading this thread.

It has been in the water, in fact, it's in the water now.

So, now obviously it is ruined. I should just leave it there and let it sink.

If the glass has been compromised by someone drilling holes and not properly sealing the ie : tabs , transducer etc .. the core could be wet ..But if it was tight and just sat ..NO PROBLEM
My family had a 1973 sea ray that sat in the fresh its entire life and its still solid!!
Id bang around the bottom, transom, stringers etc ..Listen for a dead thump or soft spot ..youll know it when you find one .. Pi$$ on the survey :drink:
