Who is running P5-X's?
I just took delivery of a 29 pitch P5-X for my 23' cat and wanted to hear some feedback from those of you who have tried them. My boat is a 23' WPM Cat running a 598" naturally aspirated motor. I have tried a 30" labbed Bravo 1 prop and turned 6600 RPM throught 1.36 gears for 112 MPH on GPS. I also tried a non labbed 32 Bravo 1 and with a passenger and full fuel turned it 6000 RPM for 110 MPH on the GPS. Matt at Throttle Up has suggested a 29 pitch P5-X with hopes of turning 6200 RPM for more than 112 MPH. I will post the results, but I would like to hear some feedback from others who have tried these props.
Thanks, Craig |
Re: Who is running P5-X's?
It won't be a exact comparison but i am anxious to hear your results as i'm turning a 30 pitch lab w/1.50 gears at 5400-5600 and have heard a 32 pitch non-lab will only slow me down and i don't realy want to spring for a 32 lab just to try,iv'e been hearing alot about these 5 blades and wonderd what a 28-29 5 would do,Smitty
