Re: What drives?
#6s may or may not but the arneson 8 will
|
Re: What drives?
Air-nope, just wondering...
The arneson, kept on coming up on my list too. I just thought that there may be some other ones out there. I recall a fixed shaft drive that would take the power, but I don't recall who did it. Anybody know the input rating of the 6? |
Re: What drives?
I don't know but I'd sure rather spend my $$$ on asd6 or 8 over speedy#6

Re: What drives?
#6's are rated for 1000 hp/1000ft.lbs. The CALLAN Tencara race cat runs a fixed (side to side) shaft but is trimable (up and down) I think it was a BPM(?) gear box and runs a standard #6 prop.

Good memory...they are BPM's (Italy). Our turbines make 3000hp @ 16,800rpm (reduced 2:1 before drop box) and approx. 1300 ft lbs. Never had a failure...they are bulletproof. |
