WFO = Wound Flat Out.

1967 33hp Evinrude: WFO for however long the tank lasts.
1979 260 Mercruiser: 45 mins at a time, all the time - started having a little blowby at around 150 hours. Bores had ring ridges worn into them.
1991 502 Mags: about an hour at a time.

Merc 260 V6 outboard: 30 sec at a time (on a 16' padvee - had to slow down after that amount of time and let my arms rest from rasslin it - it ran right at 100).

575SCi's with BMaxes: 10 mins at a time till the drives grenade.

WAIT JUST ONE SECOND HERE, you mean to tell me that my boat has more then 2 speeds? I thought it only had Dock and Drive

Seriously, dam near every poker run or just running around for fun it sees full throttle. Sometimes for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. Never really think about it that much. I didn't buy it to troll for tuna, well that kind of tuna anyway

Lets see here...I went from just north of Debuque Iowa to LaCross, Wisconsin. It's been a while, so I think that's right. Held it WFO for the whole way. We only lifted for the two locks. Even, then we didn't have to wait for them. We pulled right in, locked through as the sole boat and then opened it back up. Proably a little over 100 miles WFO. Say around 2 hours including the locks.
