Re: helicopter video of hurricane damage
Best video of the damage I have seen, thanks.
Kinda makes you realise why some Florida waterfront property has dropped 30% overnight. It this a good deal, or "do I feel lucky?" Feel bad not only for those with the destruction, but also holding recently purchased waterfront properties anywhere in Florida. Ouch! |

Here's an example-- |
Prayers Finally Answered
Having been born and raised in Pensacola and now living in Kansasss I once again got to do the only thing worse than go through a Hurricane. As many I'm sure know, that's sit and wait and Hope and Pray everyone back home and the entire area are allright. Been calling but no service and cells go straight to voice mail. My brother called and everyone in our family is ok and nothing major damaged. He was 30 miles away in Alabama getting gas and says P'cola cell towers are down or no power so therefore they have no service. One Wal-Mart opened up partially and said there's 5 mile lines down the highways to get in. Sounds like everything you hear in the papers is true. He lives right by I-10 Pine Forst Rd exit and says they expect "good" water in a month and power in THREE MONTHS!!! Now there's something to look forward to! All the 80' Pine trees in the yard either snapped or the ground was so saturated they fell over. I'm sure his generator will look like an Offshore Race Motor before long. They say it took out the entire power grid.
Hope everyone else's Prayers are answered as mine were(but No they haven't stopped)and keep in mind Florida is all trees therefore phone lines are down as are cell towers if you are having trouble reaching people. I May be making a run from Kansas to Pensacola soon so if anything I can do if you have people or members down there let me know. Don |
