Default Anyone know history on this Cig?

Does anyone know the history of this boat? Good, bad or indifferent?

I know it originally had 800's in it and the new motors are said to have 8 hrs, trans and drives rebuilt, fresh water boat etc.

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/6/8/68041168.htm

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Lucky, I had a TRS boat for 6 years and I'm ready to upgrade to either newer technology or stronger drives. I blew 4 TRS lowers and two transmissions because of the lower locking up when it blew the pinion gear on my Panther in about 4 years. I was running 550 hp in a 30 Scarab Panther.

I'm just bustin' on ya!! I guess its luck. my father raced for 8 years - blew a lot of motors - but never a drive. Back then they ran 200 miles balls to the walls.....What tranny did you have?

I had BAM 72C's. The problem wasn't really the trans itself. When I blew the pinion it caused it to lock up for a split second. When it locked up it caused the oil pump gear in the trans to crack.
