Default Need info on National Liquidators??

I have a buddy looking at a boat they have up for bid , They acepeted his bid. Does anybody know anything about the company?

Are you buying it from them or a bank they represent?

It depends. Ask them and they will tell you. I bought a repoed boat from them a few years ago. Everything worked out perfect. I believe they were brokering the boat for the bank. They also have US Marshall's boats. I have stopped in a few times when I am in town, they are always very friendly.

If it's the 38 Cig he's thinking about then I would strongly suggest that he fly down to look at it before he puts any money down. My parents live in Orlando and they drove down to National yesterday to look at that boat for me and my father rated it a 6 1/2 on a scale of 10. According to him most of the cockpit interior skins will likely need to be replaced, as well as part of the skin on the engine hatch. And add to that plenty of blistering and chips in the hull and you are looking at a pretty sizable repair bill to bring it back to respectable condiiton.

People who know the boat say that it was raced and the engine ecu printout shows that the 575's have spent over half of their 165 hours at wot. I too thought that for $200K I might be able to put 10K in it and have a really nice top gun, but from what my father says it might take considerable more than that. Anyways, just be sure that he knows all the facts on the boat.

Stripp,,, Let the buyer beware,,,, and thats a fact ,, I talked to them 2yrs ago, and they never did tell the truth about the boat in question,,, I had plane tickets and was headed to the airport,, when they told me that the starter was bad and they could not fire the motor ,,, two days later they told me the engine was froze up,,,, by then ,, I had found out from a engine builder who knew the boat ,, it was not represented properly,,,
LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I was mostly interested in the Cigg but my father went thru that boat too Strip. If you want an honest opinion of its condition let me know and I'll ask him about it.

My sister bought a 99' 400 Sea Ray from them this last winter and didn't have any problems with them. Her and my brother-in-law flew down, had the boat surveyed and hired a captain to take them out and test drive the boat. They also got a really competitive rate when they did their financing down there. I feel they got a great deal on the boat, even though they spent $10k reconditioning the boat. It was repoed because of a divorce and sat for 8 months without being taken care of. I would recommend your friend at least have the boat surveyed before he makes an offer. Hope this helps.
