Re: truck insurance- getting out of hand

2002 F150 FX-4
20 yrs old
$2340 a year

And when i get hit by someone else, and i've had my truck for 1 week my own insurance co. (State Farm) tries to screw me just as bad as their insurance co. (Geico)

Just hope you never have to make a claim, somehow my policy went up $15 bucks a month as soon as I made my Personal Injury Protection claim, and now they're screwing me royally on my truck. Needless to say my nice big under-insured policy is looking better and better everyday.

Insurance is a rip-off. Everything is fine till you need it, then they act like they don't know you, and then you get to sue them for the money that they rightfully should pay you, meaning you get to pay a lawyer 30-40% of it, sure seems right. I say F*ck Um.

I'm a die-hard republican, and frivilous lawsuits piss me off, but when you are hurt, and you have mountains of bills, don't expect to find any friends at any insurance co, regardless of who is at fault or how much you pay.

We've been dealing with Geico for about 10 years now.
I don't agree or like some of their activities but nobody has been able to beat them. Not even Progressive.

98 F-250.....400.00 for six months
02 Mustang....570.00 for six.

I just got my renewal for my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee. $1400 every three months! It seems they marked down my wife as being 17 years old & added another girl whom I've never heard of (also 17) to my policy.
I'm in the process of getting it straightened out right now. Normally it's $1800/ yr (NJ).

Let me go ahead and tell y'all what your problem is: ALL insurance companies SUCK...STATE FARM REALLY SUX. I had been with State farm for years and last year after getting my truck insurance bill I was fed up and decided to shop around. I told Farm Bureau my exact policy coverages and had them price them. On my truck and homeowners I saved over $500/year by switching to Farm Bureau. My state farm agent tried to fill me up with a bunch of BS but i finally realized that I will switch every few years if I get a cheaper rate. Let them bid like eveyone else has to...competition is good :D

Try AIG 1-800-672-9569. I haven't found anyone cheaper yet. They don't have agents, so you deal with them direct. Only complaint was I dropped a 70 Chevelle off my policy once and when I went to add it back they would't do it because it was over 20 years old  It was over 20 years old when I dropped it but it was grandfathered in. Had I known I would have just left it on there.
