Re: New motor from mercury

Mercury Racing up in Fon-du-lac are constantly testing their product on many different style hulls from many different manufactures, pulling engies and drives from one hull to another at their in-water facilities before its release. In the past the failures are not what and how the Merc Racing Team assembles the engine and drives for the consumer, but failure often comes from the supplier who machine the spec parts who is the blame and Merc takes control and rectifies the situation. Mercury is there to offer you the best combination for their packages. No guesses...

I work in the automotive field ( dealership ) and have over the years come to realize that for the most part the manufactures give you a good value. They don't please everyone but they do please most ! As for as Mercury is concerned, who else is stepping up to the plate, and offering a complete motor out drive package that is warrantied to the mass's that for the most part satisfies 95% of their end users expatiations, for a small percentage of user's they could never build anything tough enough, but for the majority of the user's it works. At a fair value considering the big picture. just my $.02
