28 labbed bravo 1
I have 28 labbed bravo 1's on my A/T, and I am going to try 30 non labbed this weekend. What are my 28's worth and what should I pay for the 30's.
Or who needs 28 labbed and who has 30 labbed? Thanks Lee. |

who labbed it?

Re: 28 labbed bravo 1
I run labbed 28s on my 41 Velocity spinning the motors to 5500 rpm. I tried non labbed 30s and could only turn them to 4800. Merc did the lab work on the 28s.

Re: 28 labbed bravo 1
I could be interested. I have stock 28s on my AT now. Who labbed them, and are they thinned, or just pitch trued? Polished or Satin?

Re: 28 labbed bravo 1
Not sure who labbed, they are thinned with satin finish.
The reason for moving up is, I am on the rev limiters, and have more throttle. I also have a rough time getting on plane when it is heavt chop. When it is calm water it takes forever to plane and about 4000 rpm. I am showing about a 22% prop slip. Should I move to 30's or go with 5 blade's? Comfortable cruise is about 4400 rpm. is that to high for cruising? Thanks, Lee. |
Re: 28 labbed bravo 1
If you are slipping with a 4 blade then you will have to go to a 5 blade.
Keep in mind though. How much are you slipping - my boat won't come on plane untill you rev it up. I usually just run it up to about 5000 RPM and the boat rockets onto plane. The props don't blow out but they do slip a bit. I have about 15 % slip though. |
